It's a kind of tradition in my family that when we're all together that we sit for professional portraits. Always from Sears. And I have nothing against Sears Portrait Studio, you understand, except the predictability combined with the outrageous cost of prints. This time I nudged not too gentry to try out an independent photographer who could do outside photos for us in a more natural setting.
Enter Tiffany - the answer to all my prayers! She's at ChilliwackPhotographer.com and I loved her photos right from the get go! I also LOVED that we got all the reproduction rights ALL the photographs! She even got us some previews within the week!!
Dad has a great park right accross the street from his condo that we opted to do the photos at. The weather was really overcast, and even a little drippy, but it worked out great! In the main photograph above (bottom left) is all of us. From the top: Kerry (with Alora in his arms), Melissa my Sister, James my brother, Me, and Mr. Pie. across the bottom: Ashley, Gina, Jim my dad (in the middle), Marni-Lynne my half-sister and her boy James.
I just love all these shots!! The one of all the boys cracks me up, and I ADORE the one of dad with the Grandkids!!
And then, low and behold a few days later... I got THIS in my email!

Livesey Photography is inviting everyone who still may be a tad shy with their new, or not so new, point-and-shoot digital cameras, to come to our Studio and enjoy a relaxed, easy going lesson on your camera’s basic functions from click to print. Whether it is to start your own journey into the exciting world of photography, to take better snapshots of the family, or for that unbelievable vacation you want to capture just as you remember, you will have the photographer's full attention for whatever camera-related questions you may have. Sessions are booked by the hour and will vary in price. There is no minimum or maximum number of lessons you are obligated to attend so you can decide how many lessons you may need and when they will fit into your busy schedule. We offer individual classes, where you will receive an in-depth and comprehensive lesson, or small group classes that offer more general and basic information. If you are interested or would like more information, please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.

Livesey to replace Capture

On the 24th of December 2008, my Great Grandfather William Livesey passed away at the young age of 98. Photography was a happy part of his life. I came to inherit all of his photography equipment when he made the big decision to move into a care facility, only 2 years ago. Now his camera sits in my studio in a beautifully hand-crafted wood and glass case, made by my Grandfather Bill Hunter, and to honour his memory I have renamed my business Livesey Photography so his name will live on.
All items with Livesey's former name Capture are still usable

I had some fun in the digital dark room. The First Photo is the original, the Second Photo is the same photo that has had Digital Work done to it. The third Photo looked like the first one before the digital art was applied.
